Transworld Skateboarding held a contest this year called “Skate & Create”. I can’t say enough about the quality and beauty of these videos. This is a true representation of skateboarding as art.
Here is the gist of it.:
4 Teams (enties, dvs, c1rca, and osiris DC), 6 people on each team, each team consisting of 2 ams and 4 pros. Each team was given 9 days to film in a small warehouse. They all had to use the same obstacles and come out in the end with a 5 minute video.
My personal favorite is the DVS video, the look of it is just amazing. The Enties entry, “The Legend of Boxton Square” (the last video) ended up winning. Here are the videos:

That was so good. I think I like the DVS vid best. I just would have liked to see a few bigger tricks. I liked how clean it was. They definitely hired the most visionary director. The Osiris vid is a joke that fell flat – like how I imagine Ray Romano would do at the apollo.

DC vid is the sht. Super slick and wicked beats though I agree that DVS put together a stellar product. Was the Osiris vid a joke or was that a serious entry?
