The Foundation Team is tearing up North Carolina right now, and team manager, Mike Sinclair was nice enough to answer my questions at 1:30 in the morning.

Skatemodo: Who’s on the tour?

Mike Sinclair: Sierra Fellers, Gareth Stehr, Angel Ramierz, David Reyes, Nick Merlino and Abdias Rivera.

Skatemodo: Where are you guys headed to next?

Mike Sinclair: Some are headed back home and a few of us are headed to Tampa Am

Skatemodo: Question for Nick Merlino: What is the biggest difference between NJ and NC?

Mike Sinclair: I’ll answer for him since he is passed out at the hotel. people accents…NC has a slower country sounding drawl and Jersey accents have a faster nasely sound.

Skatemodo: Who would make a better pirate captain, You, Patrick Melcher, or Richie Jackson?

Mike Sinclair: Gareth would make a great pirate captain.

Skatemodo: Question for Corey Duffle (if he is on the tour) If you could resurrect one dead rock and roll star who would it be and why?

Mike Sinclair: Corey is not here but he might come in for a few days after Thanksgiving.

Skatemodo: Who is better Steve “the monk” Olson or Daniel Haney?

Mike Sinclair: I liked Steve Olson better but not sure which one was actually better. They both rip!

Skatemodo: When I saw you guys at the Durham skatepark, why didn’t you say hi and tell me you were professionals? You were making me really self conscious about my bowl riding skills (or lack there of).

Mike Sinclair: We just wanted to skate with the local kids not really do any formal demo, we are just here to skate and film and skate with the locals.

Skatemodo: Where did Gareth get that Coors touque? (knitted hat for all y’all Americans)

Skatemodo: What BBQ joints have you hit up since being in NC… which one is the best?

Mike Sinclair: Ahh, this one place in Raleigh I forgot the name but we love Cook Out, we go there everyday

Skatemodo: Angel looks like a trouble maker… is this true? (if not who gets in the most trouble on tour?)

Mike Sinclair: Angel is a trouble maker for sure and Merlino always sticks his foot in his own mouth daily.

Skatemodo: What hurt more when Nuge left or when Leo did?

Mike Sinclair: It didn’t hurt at all, Leo is on Toy Machine and Nuge is on Pig Wheels, it’s all Tum Yeto and we love Nuge and Leo!

Skatemodo: Question for Duffle: is it true Jaime Thomas wouldn’t put you on Fallen because you wouldn’t leave foundation to ride for a black box company?

Mike Sinclair: Not true at all. Duffel didn’t ride for Fallen due to a Fallen apparel & Sessions clothing disagreement and a few other personal reasons that I won’t touch on.

Skatemodo: Question for Duffle: Have you and Beagle made up yet?

Mike Sinclair: Not sure..

Skatemodo: Where do you guys sleep? At Sinclair’s house? Does Sinclair live here or in Cali?

Mike Sinclair: Days Inn.. I live in San Diego but my family still lives in Durham.

Skatemodo: Who has been tearing it up… specifically… name the best trick, when, and where.

Mike Sinclair: The crew shreds everyday, each day the guys impress me with their skills on and off the board.

Skatemodo: Do Abdias and Angel still like each other?

Mike Sinclair: Yes, they are roomates on the trip and roomates back in Long Beach.

Skatemodo: For Everybody: What was your favorite skate spot in NC?

Mike Sinclair: We have had the most fun at the Durham park and the street spots are all good. None specific, we wish the sattelite dish was still here.

Skatemodo: Is your (Mike Sinclair) Tum Yeto white Dodge Caravan the official touring vehicle? How nasty is it inside that thing?

Mike Sinclair: The mini van is our tour van and it’s completely f**ked inside.
